Half term is always a funny time for rehearsals with many families going away and missing one or both Saturdays. Today was no exception and we were quite thin on the ground.

Section rehearsals were able to spend time working on any pieces with difficult passages and in...

Another great sectional rehearsal followed by full rehearsal. I passed a new bassoonist in the corridor being inducted by a committee member so hope to see him soon. Also learned that one of my clarinet players is switching to bass clarinet - Yay! Still no sight of a t...

Welcome back everyone - and what a great rehearsal it was. We collected in a 1 meter high stack of old parts and gave the children The Greatest Showman to rehearse in full rehearsal.  What a sound! This was not doubt helped by the majority of the players being familiar...

July 14, 2018

Our last rehearsal today and an opportunity to revise a few pieces before our summer concert in Connaught Gardens, Sidmouth next week. It was lovely to welcome a new grade 6 sax player who seemed undaunted enough to be happy to play next week. Wow! Looking forward to s...
