Joint ECO-OHJB concert on Exeter Quay, Sunday 20th April 2008, 2.30pm
As planned, ECO and our French visitors the Orchestre des Jeunes de Haut-Bretagne will perform together on Exeter Quay on Sunday afternoon, starting at 2.30pm. The concert is free and will include performances by each of the orchestras, by the guitar ensemble of OHJB and by both orchestras playing together. The combined orchestras number over 140 young musicians - it's quite an experience to hear them!
Notices for ECO members and host families
Host families
All arrangements are going ahead according to the schedule already distributed. Please bring your guests - with their luggage - to the Haven Banks coach park at 1.30pm on Sunday.
ECO members
- Please be prompt - there may be bad weather later in the afternoon, so we want to be sure that everything runs to schedule and we all stay dry.
- If you offered to bring a folding chair, please remember to bring it!
- Please bring clothes pegs to hold your music to the stands. No-one will be diving into the river to collect music which blows away...
- Please bring hoodies to wear if you have them.
- If you are bringing cakes for the cream tea, please take them to the scout hut as soon as you arrive. The hut is at the end of the downstream end of the Quay on the city side.
- After the concert, please hang on to your instruments - no-one except you will be looking after them and the Quay is a public place where things can easily get lost.
We're determined the concert will be a successful climax to the visit of our French friends, whatever the weather!
